Federal False Claims Act15–25% of the recovery if the government intervenes; 25–30% if not31 U.S.C. § 3730(d)

Qui tam is limited to false claims against NH DHHS. There is no general state false claims act. OIG found it Not Approved (7/24/08, supplement 12/28/16); the supplement cites civil penalties ($5,000–$10,000) below the inflation-adjusted federal FCA penalties. Under RSA 167:61-b IV the act does not apply to controversies under $5,000. The doj.nh.gov, dhhs.nh.gov and nhes.nh.gov sites return 403 to automated fetchers, so those URLs were confirmed only through search-engine indexing.
