On June 4, 2026 HHS-OIG denied recertification of Hawaii's MFCU and stopped federal payments (no Medicaid-fraud convictions 2022–2025); the AG said it would seek reconsideration. The unit still appears on the AG site and in the HHS-OIG directory dated 10/1/2026; check status before publishing. DHS has no dedicated fraud web page; reporting is by phone.
